Funding

At Hillside Pre-School, we offer funded places for eligible children in line with current government funding schemes.

All 3 and 4-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of free government funded childcare per week. This universal entitlement is available to all families regardless of income or employment status, starting the term after your child’s third birthday.

We accept eligible supported families with 2-year-old children who can access up to 15 hours of government-funded childcare per week.

We accept eligible working families with 2-year-old children who can access up to 30 hours per week and eligible working families with 3- & 4-year-old children who can access up to 30 hours per week (including the 15 Universal hours).

As a charity-run pre-school, we recommend a voluntary consumable contribution, which can be discussed further.

Please note that funding periods are determined by Hertfordshire County Council and may not always align exactly with the pre-school’s term dates.

Parents accessing funded childcare will be required to complete the relevant funding declarations and provide any necessary eligibility codes before the start of each funding period.
