Dear Parents/Carers,
We are thrilled you have chosen Hillside as the Pre-School for your child and would like to welcome you all to our little community.
Hillside has been supporting families at the heart of Chorleywood for generations. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality care in a nurturing environment where community is at the heart of everything we do. Our highly qualified and experienced team provide a safe, stimulating and secure atmosphere in which children can develop both physically and emotionally - where independence and individuality are supported. We hope to inspire happy confident children and hope that friendships made during their time at Hillside support them in their transition to primary school and beyond.
Hillside is an incorporated charity run by a parent-led “Committee” who are responsible for two main functions. Working closely together with management and fundraising efforts for the Pre-School.
- Working closely with management: ensuring the Pre-School is run in accordance with Ofsted. Working closely together with the Pre-School Manager to ensure the smooth running of Hillside. This involves finance, administration and liaison with the Preschool Learning Alliance and other governing bodies.
- Fundraising: involves a range of exciting events and activities throughout the year to raise money for additional resources and learning materials for the children.
The Committee currently has several vacancies that need to be filled. You do not need to have any of the above experience or skills to join. We just need people who want to help. Without a fully functioning committee, the Pre-school cannot continue.
Volunteering to be part of the Committee is a great way to give back to the community, to get to know other parents and be involved in Hillside’s running for the benefit of your child.
